Honchō is an award-winning, independent search agency based in Hertfordshire, UK. We’re known for being the Connected Search agency, as we put audiences first and channels second, creating an omnichannel approach to search marketing.

Our mission is to become the most respected search agency, and our expertise in SEO, Paid Media and Digital PR stems from hiring the best in the business.

We’re over the moon to have been shortlisted for FOUR categories in the UK Digital PR Awards, recognising the success of our campaigns and a testament to our hard work.

Awards Honchō has been shortlisted for:

Honchō’s Digital PR Team:

In summer 2023, our Digital PR team was rebuilt from scratch. However, we embraced this challenge and saw it as an opportunity to build a more effective, process-driven and creative Digital PR team. As a result our Digital PR offering has never been stronger, more profitable or more innovative. We are so proud of what we have achieved in such a short time..

Our goal has always been to deliver the best results for our clients.

Mid 2023, we set fresh objectives to meet this goal: to hire a Head of Digital PR role who would make an immediate impact. We hired Lou Ali, who joined the team with a wealth of experience in setting up award winning teams and implementing strategies that deliver  tangible results for clients. She has revolutionised the way we work, putting an emphasis on connected search, and relevant brand building.

We have a strong new team that has made a huge impact across all the brands we partner with. The team is active in the wider Digital PR community, contributing at conferences, speaking in podcasts on topics including Digital Trends, and specific industry topics.

Unafraid to challenge clients by executing new ways of working and pitching innovative ideas, our Digital PR team has developed new processes around research, ideation and cross-departmental collaboration (with SEO and content teams) to ensure projects are aligned to have an impact – what we call ‘connected search’.

Our ideas are data-driven and our success is not measured by number of links, but by overall organic performance.

One of our award-shortlisted campaigns: Dashboard Doubts with Group 1 Automotive:

Group 1 Automotive tasked Honchō with creating engaging hero campaigns that would appeal to their target audience, and generate high authority, editorial links that would positively impact organic performance and build brand awareness.

OUR APPROACH:

First, we surveyed 2,000 UK drivers to find out how many dashboard symbols they recognised. We started by asking how confident they were with knowing all of their dashboard signals, finding that 8 in 10 people felt confident that they knew them all.

However, after testing them, the average person was only able to get 45% correct. With this campaign, we were able to make a newsworthy, shareable, and relatable campaign for the media and their readers.

As well as providing nationwide data, Honchō was also able to create an evergreen, interactive asset that drove traffic and clicks to the website. In the Digital PR industry, it’s easy to get one idea and run with it. However, with this campaign, we took our primary idea and made it into something creative and unique. This in turn helped increase brand awareness and improve overall organic performance.
